I'm going full Jill Bearup here because I honestly think it's just the action I hate. Story-wise it's a perfectly acceptable Miles Morales origin and the music is great, especially in the 'What's Up Danger' scene. But the action is like watching a tumble drier. Everything in the frame was so vividly colourful that my eyes never knew where to focus. Compare it to something like Fury Road, which is also colourful but far more intelligible. Even when you can tell what's happening the heroes have no agency, stumbling around or being tossed about. To quote a better animation: "That's not flying, that's just falling with style". And speaking of Pixar, the Incredibles 2 did all this way better.
So, so sleepy. Been busy,, haven’t really gotten much of an opportunity to do anything for myself. I’ve been having too many nightmares too..
