Whumpee who’s not allowed to speak without permission… that sleep talks ~🐸

They weren't allowed to speak, they knew that. They only fought the rule for about a week before the constant muzzling and beatings taught them better... consciously. Because one issue they'd always struggled with was sleep talking, and Whumper wasn't having any of it.

"I can't control it, Mistress, please!" they cried, promptly silenced by their owner clawing at their face.

"Quiet," the monster hissed, its sensitive ears twitching with irritation. "All I've ever asked of you is this one simple thing, yet you keep misbehaving."

"I'm sorry!" Their desperate pleas were now way quieter, almost a whisper, but just as urgent as when they were screaming. "I'm sorry, please, I really can't control it, I can't, please, Mistress-"

"Then learn to control it." The creature threw them against the wall on the other side of the torture chamber, grabbing a whip and the leather muzzle that always dug into their jaw painfully. "I'll keep teaching you these lessons until you learn to be quiet even in your dreams."

Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria)

Quick morphology sketches of the fly agaric, the quintessentially fairytale mushroom that dots British woodland. The caps are candy–red and speckled with white remnant scales, which can be shed over time under heavy rainfall. The stems are skirted with annuli, and, similarly to the frills found on the bulbous terminations (as well as the top scales) are remnants of the early mushroom’s veils, membranes that cover immature gilled mushrooms to protect spore-producing surfaces.
