He hadn’t planned it this way. Hell, why would he? This went against every single thing he’d ate, lived, and breathed for as long as he could remember. Not like he had all the many memories though.. Keigo Takami had been under the HSPC’s thumb longer than he’d like to admit. From the moment they’d set eyes on their ‘golden boy’ Keigo’s mind became set on achieving his next goal and keeping them happy.. That was until he met Touya Todoroki.
Stirring slightly, Keigo would turn and gaze at the sleeping figure. Even in a resting state, Touya looked tense. His body unnaturally rigid, his brows furrowed, his lips pursed slightly. The subtle rise in Touya’s already high body heat letting Keigo know that he was still fighting demons- even in his slumber. The paper thin sheet, and one of Keigo’s wings, barely covered Touya’s pale frame. Well, at least it was pale where the scars weren’t. They were both strung across the blow up mattress on the warehouse floor, a common meeting place for the two of them, and in that moment… In that moment, it was just them.
Keigo Takami had one job, and that was to infiltrate the League by using any means necessary, and he accomplished that, but he’d also fallen in love with the one he was supposed to bring down. It made his heart jump into his throat anytime he had to think of it, but for now, just for now, they’d lay there in the silence. Touya would slumber without knowing the thoughts racing through Keigo’s head after they’d just shared what might’ve been their most tender moment. So passionate, so -full- of feelings that neither of them knew they were even capable of feeling anymore.
They lived two separate lives, had two separates starts at life, but here they were. In just a few hours Keigo would have to leave, most likely before Dabi awoke, but for now Keigo would lay there in the silence, quietly listening to each inhale and exhale of his raven counterpart. This absolutely wasn’t supposed to happen, but maybe, just maybe, this stroke of serendipity could last a moment more.
