"Perhaps it's the sunset." said Snufkin doubtfully."
But Moomintroll looked very grave and said: "No. This time it's the comet. It's on its way to the earth."

Winding Up the Week #222
An end of week recap “The art of the novelist is not unrelated to the illness of multiple personality disorder. It’s a much milder form. But the better the book, the nearer to the padded cell you are.” – David Mitchell This is a weekly post in which I summarise books read, reviewed and currently on my TBR shelf. In addition to a variety of literary titbits, I look ahead to forthcoming features,…

Some of my favorite panels from the third moomin comic volume
I have a human!moomin headcanon
Vitiligo!moomin
-mans lacking in melanin
-pale af patches on his body
-most of his hair is white except maybe some streaks of brown
-his eyelashes are also white with some spotty brown, and theres a visible patch of paler skin around his left eye and around his mouth
-he was insecure about it for the longest time but i feel like snufkin and friends would make him feel comfortable and after a few years he learns to love that part of himself
I should draw him
Edit: i drew him please look at the reblogs :)
Fair Play by Tove Jansson - 4/5
This idyllic little novella feels very special because it reminded me of my girlfriend because we live apart by choice, which isn’t something I’ve seen represented in media before. Plus, like Jonna and Mari, we’re both creatives of different types — I couldn’t help but read us into the character dynamic. Fair Play is a very sweet slice-of-life account of two older women who live in separate apartments, visiting each others’ studios back and forth. There isn’t much of a plot, and each chapter functions as a self-contained story, so it truly is slice of life. I can’t say how much I appreciate reading a book about lesbians where yearning is not involved, because it seems like that and angst are the predominant emotions depicted in most LGBT literature these days. Instead, Jonna and Mari are content in their routine, and it was tremendously cozy to be privy to their lives together. It’s cottage core in the best sense of the word; you’ll probably recognize Tove Jansson’s name from the more popular Moomin comics, and though Fair Play doesn’t concern any trolls or witches, the calming tone is the same. I read Fair Play in just a day, which is not a common occurrence for me, but at exactly 100 pages, what excuse do you have not to pick it up?
I redrew a comic panel ive been wanting to redraw for awhile
I love them :]
Edit: click for better quality lol
