now that the season is almost over i think we should reconsider football as a sport and delete it

đš Breaking: Gabriel Jesus will most likely leave in the summer.
Benfica tagged him at 100m, not worth it to me. No one will pay that, his price tag will be negotiated, but I donât see him having a place here.
Manchester United has already begun on a potential deal for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips. The deal is expected to be at around 50-60 million. (Source: Samuel Luckhurst, Manchester Evening News)
If that pisses off Leeds fans, I'm all in for it. The guy is good too so why not!
So GJ could leave in the summer. Youâd think we wouldnât sell him given the fact that we have an aging squad, but thereâs not really a way I can think of having him here if we want to fit Haaland, Alvarez, Delap, Palmer, etc etc.
We should also look into getting more defenders and a back up center defensive midfielder. Asap.

I wouldn't say no. He'd do well with either of Varane or Lindelof.
The Haaland transfer Saga has got everyone nervous and expectant for the norwegianâs choice. I was all about bringing him in, but really thinking about it, is it worth it? I read a few things the past few days that Iâd like to discuss đ
Raiola and Alf-Inge Haaland
First of all, and the hardest thing about this transfer, is bringing Raiola into the club. He is a popular agent who is known for always selling his representativesâ for crazy amounts đ”, and bagging a lot of money in the process himself, because he usually demands this big commissions. He always gets away with what he wants, I donât know how, clubs always give in. And he is not exactly loved in the clubs he has worked with.Â
Now not only do we have to deal with him, but Haalandâs father also wants a part of it. Which sounds crazy to me. Not gonna lie, a family member wanting to make money from their kidâs work? Sounds fishy to me. His father is after that dollar and we would have him in the club, as Neymarâs father style, demanding stuff and money.Â
Wage structure. His salary
One of my other concerns, which, you guessed it, still has to do with money, is our wage structure. Right now, KDB is the highest earner of the squad, rightfully so, and I wouldnât know what to tell you regarding how much exactly he earns, but he does have the highest salary. Obviously, being the sensation that he is and the agent that he has, Haaland is asking for a big salary. He is a star already, and he wants to be paid as so.Â
To me, it would be incredibly unfair to pay him more than what other very important players get (Walker, Cancelo, Ederson, Dias, Fernandinho, Gundogan, to name a few). These are players who have given a lot to Man City, and are already organized in a wage structure.Â
We are not PSG. We canât throw everything away to maintain a salary of a player who is injury prone (discussing that next), pay commissions for his agent and also for his dad... Â
Raiola wants Haaland to be on a 500k per week after we pay his 75m release clause. We would have invested well over 130m on him when you factor in wages and bonuses and crazy agent commissions. Should we spend this much when there also reports about him wanting his contract to be only for three years long? What is he planning next? A move to Real Madrid maybe? I donât want players to think about Man City as a stepping stone or a stage for other big clubs to see.Â
To give you an idea on how bad this could be, it has been reported that âReal Madrid arenât willing to agree to the conditions from Erling Haalandâs agents, as they donât want to anger any current players who would earn less than Haaland.â This via GOAL
Injuries
And finally, letâs discuss how injury prone he is.Â
Only in the first half of the season last year (August - December) he missed 16 games in total, having suffered from three different knee issues and reported muscular issues on three separate occasions. He was also out due to a hip flexor problem. Heâs spent a total of 90 days on the sidelines. Thatâs a crazy amount of games and days without collective training. This via SPORF.
Heâs missed 37 games since 18/19 and heâs 22. I mean, come on. You canât say it doesnât put you off.Â
This request he made BVB is understandable, at one point. He will have to come clean about his injuries. Reports are saying that he played taking ibuprofens the past weekend because of the injuriesâ pain.Â
I really donât know about this, to be honest. Iâm in no shape or form doubting his talent or his goal scoring ability. He is a machine when he is on a good day, but 90-injured-days? Is it actually worth it? Spending an insane amount of money, for him to play less games than Steffen?
I know and understand the need to sign a high profile, proved striker. But we could be making better business with other, more sensible, choices.Â
- This is something I wanted to take a moment to talk about, because I care about the club and these things have made me think a lot about this transfer and how it has become a real saga now. Apparently, itâs just a matter of time until itâs confirmed he will be joining City. But I couldnât take this out of my mind. Of course, if he comes, I will want nothing more than for him to work out, score hundreds of goals, help the team, win trophies. But this is just a thought.Â
