I love getting to Lanayru in Twilight Princess so much you don't even know.
Like yeah its home to the Water Temple, and swimming in games where the primary gimmick is not to swim is never fun- but everything else about it is so good? Like I will die on this hill, killing Morpheel is SO MUCH FUN. Their first phase is meh, but its second phase?? There is nothing like stabbing that thing in its fucking eye and holding on for dear life, IT'S SO GOOD- but aside from stabbing the ever-loving-hell out of a fish, that's also one of the first times Midna is nice to Link!
Like yeah, she reminds him that he still needs to get the Fused Shadow because nothing they've done up to this point will matter unless they stop Zant, but it's much more playful and nice this time. And she supports saving the Zora Prince, and while that could be because you need the Zora armor, it's still nice to see her support Link in saving people from his world. She's also a lot nicer throughout the entire dungeon (like not calling you an idiot/obedient pet whenever you do something) even going as far as to apologize for dragging you everywhere at the end of the dungeon.
And the whole cutscene with Zant just proves that even more- he straight up points out that she's deluded for befriending a light dweller, and the first thing she does once she gets away from Zant is to run to Link's side to make sure he's okay. Like!! Friendship!!! (And this is further supported by the whole next scene with Zelda, where Midna wants to help the world of light and tells Zelda to help Link out in her place, but that's not a part of Lanayru soooo we're not gonna delve into all of that)
Also Zant is there and seeing him is always a delight
