Tsubasa Chronicle Month - Day 15 - Wild West
~
There’s a length of rope pulling tight around him, and for a second, Kurogane can’t do anything but blink. Then, there’s a sharp tug from behind him, followed by uncontrollable giggles, and he’s instantly flooded by familiar annoyance. “We caught ourselves a grumpy ninja, Mokona!”
“I will shoot you,” Kurogane warns through gritted teeth, turning to face the mage and the damn headache of a White Bun. His hand goes to the gun at his belt, a threat and a promise, if the two idiots don’t stop being nuisances. “I prefer swords, but I will use this.”
“Kurogane is such a meanie!” Mokona cries from her perch on Fai’s shoulder, the little hat on her head slipping down her back a little. “Fai! Isn’t he grumpier and meaner than usual? He threatened to shoot us!”
Fai shakes his head in amusement. His hands on his end of the lasso are relaxed, but Kurogane knows by now not to fall for such blatant illusion of carelessness. “Don’t worry, Mokona,” the mage says, with one of his plastic smiles firmly in place. “I won’t let the grouchy cowboy hurt you.” He turns his gaze to Kurogane with a wink and something like a playful smirk, and tugs on the rope again. “I have him all tied up and at my mercy, see?”
And maybe it’s the look in the mage’s eyes, maybe it’s the tone of his voice, but whatever it is, it makes heat climb up Kurogane’s neck to his ears and his cheeks and yeah, fuck this, he thinks. “You have until the count of three,” he growls, pulling the gun out of its holster.

the little conversations with the Spices from the West event are very cute and it's very neat and cool but also....
nani the f we still can't swap out those in our teapot (i'm grateful for the 5k coins) so i'm lowkey panicking because my chara's are all at 7 friendship points and before the event is out we'll have 21 chances to raise exp and my min-max heart can't handle the possibility of wasting exp days OTL
that being said i can't help but imagine my Lumine RACING up the stairs to feed Yunjin butter crab. and then making equal pace zooming to feed everyone else in the house. the foodie guide is gonna be my best friend for the next month
How do you think everyone in town would react to seeing a lush cave, or maybe a geode? I just think those are two very beautiful things honestly, very lovely.
Thanks for the ask!
Lush Cave: everyone is happy to find a variety of new materials near town. The vines with the berries are a particular "gold mine" as there's not a lot of variety in town. It would become the new spot of refuge during heat waves.
Geode: the town would find it very fascinating and pretty and the sounds are lovely to hear as well! The only real problem is that there's no one in town with mining experience and selling the stuff might attract too much attention to the town.
Any townsfolk: I know that I' dying, but trust me: I can handle this
Outsider: How can you possibly HANDLE it?!
Any townsfolk; This ain't my first rodeo with the death. It's all routine at this point
(Also, dunno if Tumblr ate the last quotes I sent, please tell me if it did)

Thank you for the quotes! (I don't have any other quotes than the two I just posted. If there's any missing, you can always resend them.)
Some people pretend to be afraid of death to keep up the ruse of the town. Some people are very bad at pretending to fear death to keep up the ruse. Some people... just don't care to keep it up if the subject comes up.
Me at every loud noise.

Wild West TrainwreckShipping AU! Likes/Reblogs/Comments super appreciated! I love Volo best when he’s poking at Emmet’s fresh wounds... Matching snippet:
Volo actually laughed, as if Emmet had said something funny. “Okay, I do know the bandits who did it. Every criminal for miles knows they were targeting that train! I was planning to give them a visit anyway, and hiding onboard meant a nice quick and direct trip to their hideout! I would’ve bought a ticket, but you’re all so fussy about papers and money, and I just didn’t have the time to sort those out.” He rolled his shoulders and returned to smiling at him unpleasantly. “I suppose it’s a little unlucky we missed the train. Maybe you would’ve made a difference… I can only imagine what they’re doing to your brother right now…”
Emmet exhaled.
(proceeds to shoot at Volo with a gun!)

Thank you! Have a snippet from the Wild West AU!
“Took your time,” Volo purred as he trailed his fingers up the bars. “It’s so lonely here at night, without that sweet little sheriff to sass. You know, she had another friend over earlier too - I think her name was Skyla?” He licked his lips and grinned. “They were real worried about you~ Thought you were going to do something … drastic.”

Drunk Jack or Mason, trying to give advice: If somebody gets creepy, just... you know... shot them
Random bystander: Shot them?-
Drunk Jack or Mason: Politley
~ Quotes☆Anon~
Thanks for the quote!
Yah, this is basically their advice. It kinda gives me Wilford Warfstach vibes, "tickle them with a knife" stuff.
I love how they're probably trying to give really good advice but they realize that it's not a town member that they're talking to and the first thing they think of to remedy the situation is to tack on the word "politley"!

Thank you! Here, from the Wild West AU:
Two days after the train departed, Emmet was standing on the platform, performing a second maintenance check for the day, when he noticed something approaching on the tracks…
No, not something: someone, and a Pokémon. They were limping, supported by a creature that resembled a floating chandelier with purple flames. He recognised it immediately as Ingo’s Chandelure, but the person who was leaning on the Pokémon was not Ingo.

... Apparently I’m very consistent!
Do there happen to be any fireflies in the town by any chance? Like, in the general area of Lazarus and the canyons that is.
Thank you for the ask!
I don't know if fireflies do actually live in deserts or not, but the answer is Yes!
There's a spot close by to town where they gather in the early Summer. Every year, the town takes a Sunday night and heads out to see it. It's basically an unofficial holiday with no solid date. The bandits, John, and Percy (and later Billy) compete to see who can catch the most fireflies at once but no one really keeps track, it's just an excuse to try and catch them.
